Stranger.

Sometimes we feel scared to get out of our comfort zone.

Why aren't you striking that conversation with that stranger, sitting or standing alone there, just like you? You might be skipping on a beautiful opportunity to meet an interesting person with thoughts and dreams as pure and deep as yours.

Trust me, you'll be surprised.

We crave for deep connections, yet we are scared to connect with what's unfamiliar.

Remember, we find treasures even in the darkest and most unknown places.

And it doesn't have to be a romantic encounter, for you hopeless romantics out there. Huwag marupok.

It can even be just a meeting.

A very quick one.

In my case until sunrise...

...where you learn and discover a thousand things about each other and the world, in that very short exchange of words, laughs and smiles.

"It's not too late. If you believe we can save the world, let's do that."

And as the night ends, and you both part ways, you'll always have a special place in your heart for that stranger.

You're left with a first name, a memory and a smile, and the hope to meet that person again one day.

"Let's watch the sunrise together next time. See you around, ______."

That's what you said as we bid each other goodbye.

And with those last words, I believe the universe has funny ways and we'll somehow meet again, somewhere in this world...

...And I can't wait to hear the many stories we'll both have to tell.

Til the next sunrise, Stranger.

In this time of crisis, where everyone is locked inside their homes, look outside your window or balcony and smile at your neighbor if you get the chance.

Ask them how they’re doing and maybe if they will, listen to their stories. Stay safe, everyone! #IoRestoACasa
