TAKE A RISK. FALL IN LOVE

Updated: Mar 3, 2020

TO YOU WHO IS AFRAID TO TAKE THE PLUNGE

You have been enjoying solitude and learnt to like your own company. Through the years you have also liked the feeling of being alone. But everytime you see a couple, hand in hand, or maybe a friend’s lovelife of which you have witnessed their journey together, how they helped each other grow, be each other’s inspiration and cheerleaders, you can’t help but tell yourself “sana all”.

Every so often you ask the universe if there’s any chance for ‘you and the one’ to meet any time soon.

Is there any chance that your eyes will meet his/hers?

Is there any possibility that she/he will know your existence?

What are the chances that your worlds will collide?

For years, you thought love has completely forgotten about you or has been avoiding you. But maybe you are the one avoiding love. Because Love is something you think is not yet worth risking for. While you were growing you were so afraid to get hurt, therefore, you felt the necessity to build up walls. ‘The higher, the better’, you told your heart every single time.

Now, you are so afraid to risk for love and to love because of those walls you have built so hard. You love the idea of love but the reality of it scares you. You are scared to drop your heart and won’t manage to get up again.

But...

What if it’s time to jump off the edge? What if it’s time to fall in love? What if it’s time to let people in?

Everything starts with a choice, and maybe this time the choice is to open your heart and let that person in. After all, love is about risking. So, fall in love, put your guards down, take risks, take chances, get hurt, and don’t let fear stop you. Sure, risking is a scary thing but all things are worth it in the end if it’s done with love but most especially if it’s done for love.

“To love is to risk. Therefore, to love is to be brave.”
