Ready or steady?

Ready or steady? Or stuck in between? This piece is for those who are ready to risk in love again yet choose to remain steady, for only one reason-- fear. Fear, the high wall before every open opportunity. The stain for every clean intention and the feeling we always tend to avoid.

Avoidance, something we do and think we could use to escape. The road we choose to go but instead ending up creating a maze. You haven't lost your definition of love, you just choose to avoid love. And for us to face love, what is needed is simply courage. We are ready because there is still little hope inside us. But we are steady because we lack faith. We remain steady because trying isn't in our first choices at all. Try to ask yourself why are you ready in the first place? Let the "ready you" take the action.

Set aside your thought of remaining steady. You are ready because you are willing to take the risk. Being steady is just a hindrance. We won't lose anything if we try, but we could lose big things if we choose not to move. It's better to regret something you've tried than never trying one thing and remain stuck with "what if" thoughts. But remember, moving from our steadiness is a process. And you are ready to take the first step. Always choose love, though it might be risky. Because in love come great things and choosing to avoid love keeps us steady. You are ready to stop being steady, you are ready to take your first move, you weren't steady at all, because right from the start you were already ready.
